THE PROCEDURE

Dermal fillers are a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment used to restore volume and enhance facial features. Hyaluronic acid is carefully injected into specific areas of the face to diminish the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and deep folds. Dermal fillers can also be used to plump up lips, augment cheekbones, and reshape the jaw or nose.

The procedure is minimally invasive, requiring little to no downtime, and provides immediate results that can last several months to a year, depending on your skin type, metabolism, and how much mechanical strain the treated area is placed under day-to-day.

WHAT DOES DERMAL FILLER
TREATMENT INVOLVE?

During the consultation, Amanda will discuss your concerns and evaluate your facial movements and features to determine if dermal fillers are suitable and how to best apply them.
Topical or local anaesthetics will be provided for your comfort during the dermal filler injections. For lip fillers, a full dental block can be applied for complete comfort.
The duration of the procedure varies depending on the treated area, but on average, it takes around 15 minutes.
After the treatment, you may experience swelling, redness, and bruising for 2-3 days. It takes approximately 2 weeks for the dermal fillers to fully settle. The duration of results varies based on factors such as skin type, metabolism, and the daily mechanical strain on the treated area. Lip fillers may require more frequent refreshing due to the high activity in that facial area.

THE TYPES OF
DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are tailored based on the specific area of the face to be treated. Softer fillers are used for the lips and to minimize fine lines, whereas firmer fillers are employed to enhance the cheeks and reduce more prominent folds such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Dermal fillers designed for superficial tissues offer a lifting and restructuring effect, making them suitable for addressing tear troughs, temples, smokers lines, smile lines, and restoring facial contours.

I have visited Amanda three times and had Aqualyx fat dissolving treatment on a neck lump. Amanda has been friendly and professional and made me feel at ease. During the procedure Amanda explained what she was doing and what would happen. The aftercare has been excellent to. If you are thinking of having Aqualyx treatment I highly recommend a specialist like Amanda. The only thing I would have liked at the first consultation was a discussion on rhe cost of treatment, as it was a bit of a shock! Although this was mainly my fault for not asking. However the results are well worth it.
