Do you have heavy brows, deep lines on the forehead, and sunken temples? Profhilo® can treat the temples and forehead, providing deep hydration to firm areas where wrinkle-relaxing treatments are no longer effective. Profhilo® works by delivering a high concentration of hyaluronic acid directly into the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies that maintains moisture and plumpness in the skin. The specialised formulation of Profhilo® allows the hyaluronic acid to diffuse through the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
During the treatment, Amanda will inject Profhilo® into specific points on your face or body using a fine needle. The injections are relatively painless, and there is no downtime associated with Profhilo®, allowing you to resume your daily activities immediately after the treatment.

Yes, Profhilo® is a safe treatment. It utilises hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in our bodies known for maintaining moisture and plumpness in the skin. At Amanda Azzopardi Aesthetics, your safety and satisfaction are paramount. We adhere to strict safety protocols and use only high-quality products, ensuring optimal results while minimising any potential risks.
Following a Profhilo® treatment, initial improvements in skin texture and hydration can be observed. However, for the full effect of the treatment, including the stimulated production of collagen and elastin, it typically takes 4-6 weeks, revealing a rejuvenated and refreshed appearance.
For optimal results, it's recommended to start with 2-3 initial Profhilo® treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart, this would be advised by your practitioner depending on the quality of your skin to begin with. After this initial phase, a Profhilo® treatment every 3-6 months should be sufficient to maintain the benefits and keep your skin looking its best.
While Profhilo® is generally well-tolerated, like any medical procedure, there are minimal risks involved. Common temporary side effects can include redness, mild swelling, bruising and tenderness at the injection sites. However, these side effects typically subside within a few hours or days.
After the Profhilo® treatment, there is no downtime, allowing you to continue with your daily activities immediately. It's recommended to avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas for a short period to ensure optimal results. Any specific aftercare guidelines or recommendations will be provided by Amanda during your visit to the clinic.

During the procedure Amanda explained what she was doing and what would happen. The aftercare has been excellent to. If you are thinking of having Aqualyx treatment I highly recommend a specialist like Amanda. The only thing I would have liked at the first consultation was a discussion on rhe cost of treatment, as it was a bit of a shock! Although this was mainly my fault for not asking. However the results are well worth it.
