Why is the chemical peel different to other facial treatments?
A peel removes all cellular debris (dead skin cells) from the outer layers of the stratum corneum (skin), meaning your daily home care routine, will be absorbed more efficiently and the active ingredients can penetrate deeper into the skins layers, to stimulate collagen production, when applied after a peel. Your skin care professional Amanda, will personalise your skin treatment, according to your skin profile and concerns. A unique treatment that will decrease the visible signs of ageing, to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, age spots, uneven skin tone and discolouration. Targeting acne/rosacea by unclogging pores, calming irritation and redness, treating uneven skin tones and many skin conditions that can be individually tailored to your skin type.
The most beneficial ingredients in a peel degrade when combined in the low pH of a chemical peel, with this scientific information to hand, I choose to only work with pure acids within the chemical peels, the anti-ageing, antioxidant and brightening booster ingredients are all applied separately to the face post peel, so all ingredients remain active and effective.
A combination of Lactic acid found naturally in milk, from the alpha hydroxy acid family (AHA), which enhances cellular turnover to improve skin tone and texture. Salicylic acid, related to aspirin and part of the beta hydroxy acid family (BHA), an oil soluble exfoliant with anti-inflammatory properties, allowing it to effectively penetrate into the pores and exfoliate the dead skin cells, to control acne, bacteria and pimples. Soy amino acids, extracted from yeast selectively target the adhesion of corneocytes, to exfoliate the dead skin, stimulating the stratum corneum turnover and cellular renewal and finally Resorcinol, to increase the overall effectiveness, resulting in brighter, smoother skin.
All this combined creates a multi-purpose re-surfacing treatment, to minimise and treat fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, age spots, acne, discolouration, rosacea and uneven skin tone. Ultimately, exfoliating dead skin cells to stimulate cellular turnover, truly customised by the number of layers applied.
This personalised experience can include an exfoliating peel treatment and brightening enhancers followed by targeted treatment serums, to reveal more radiant, soft and luminous skin.
Combination pre-peel treatments
Aqua infusion mask
A clear oil-free lightweight anti-ageing mask, increasing the skins ability to retain moisture, with a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid plumper, creating softer and smoother skin. With the addition of sea whip, a renewable source from the Caribbean sea and plant extracts, to improve the skins barrier function and soothe irritation, providing protection from environmental stressors.
Enzyme retexturing treatment
An enzyme retexturing treatment combines fruit enzymes to break down the protein, with keratin, papaya, pineapple and citrus to exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulate cellular renewal. This process minimises the appearance of fine lines wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, with honey a moisturising and soothing antioxidant, soybean oil with vitamin E and fatty acids, alongside glycerine to draw moisture from the superficial layers into the deeper layers to hydrate the skin.
Personalise your treatment with a pre-selected serum to suit your skin quality.
Viva la Vitamin C! The Holy Grail for brighter skin.
Everactive C & E
Just a few little drops, perfect for all skin types.
Is your overall look lacking a glowing, dewy appearance? Is your skin’s dullness bringing you down? Vitamin C is just what you need to give your skin the brightening, radiance it deserves!
Vitamin C is the super ingredient perfected to reduce wrinkles and brighten the skin. If you look closely, you’ll notice how key serums boast a solid percentage of Vitamin C for these reasons and more!
Vitamin C is an antioxidant which helps neutralise free radicals to keep you healthy and boost the immune system. Targeting dark spots (which can be the result of many factors including photoaging from exposure to UV rays; pollution; and hormonal imbalance), making them lighter and brighter without changing your overall skin tone.
Vitamin C enhances your skin’s ability to produce collagen to reduce your fine lines and wrinkles, protecting the skin from UV damage, with anti-inflammatory activity to assist acne and rosacea.
A serum that includes Vitamin C is a great way to have your skin see the light. Applied right after you cleanse and before you moisturise, only a few drops will do the job.
So, get your antioxidant game on and give your skin some vitality with Vitamin C.
Vitamin C & E should contain high-strength Vitamin C (USP grade 15% L-ascorbic acid) and Vitamin E (USP grade) serum that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, revitalizing the skin. The antioxidants, Vitamin C and E, neutralize free radicals and protect against UV damage, while Vitamin C and MATRIXYL® Synthe’6® strengthen and brighten the skin. Many Vitamin C serums oxidize in their bottles, turning a brownish colour while they are on the shelf or at home. When oxidized, the Vitamin C is no longer beneficial to the skin, therefore the product should be prepared and packaged separately, so your ingredients remain fresh and are mixed by you, when ready for use.
